Have you been looking for a way to bring more art into your life? Is there a creative idea that’s been bouncing around your head, looking for the time or space to actually get made? In September and October, local artist Torrey Smith will be offering Open Thursdays from 5:30 - 8PM to provide time and space for neighbors to make art.

Bring your own materials and work on a creative art or craft project of your choosing. Set up a still life and draw or paint it… make time for your art journaling aspirations… upcycle something old into something new… create a paper cutout… make a collage… embellish your jeans… bead jewelry… Not sure where to start? Torrey will have a few suggestions and materials on hand if you need them.

Open Thursdays are designed to bring people together, to encourage creative practice and exploration, and to give us something to look forward to each week! Classes meet at 30 Foundry Street on the second floor. Bring a snack or drink for yourself if you wish. Classes are $7 to drop in or $40 for the two-month window. Scholarships are available.

Please email Torrey Smith with any questions or to sign up.
