How can you help?
There are a number of ways that you can volunteer. These are just a few:
Student/Parent Volunteers
Assist in a classroom setting or at special community events; set-up and break down, organize/distribute supplies, assist with projects, assist with general tasks.
Class Material Prep
Assist with preparing materials for classes/workshops. For example, cutting art materials, assembling kits, measuring/cutting wood, organizing items for projects.
General Maintenance/Equipment Troubleshooting & Repair
Assist with general maintenance items which may include simple repairs/maintenance of tools, painting, cleaning, moving/reorganizing/improving spaces used for classes.
Special Events
River of Light Lantern Parade; assist at workshops and on day of event; many general tasks.
Arts Fest – assist at the Creation Station with organizing craft supplies, set up/break down, help young artists, general assistance.
Community events; general assistance, check-in, assist with set-up/breakdown
Outreach
Represent the organization at community events, distribute flyers, actively promote MakerSphere, engage with the community on behalf of MakerSphere.
Marketing
Photography/videography – in classes, workshops and at special events.
Committee Volunteer/Advisory Volunteer
Volunteer to join one of our committees or assist with your professional expertise in business, law, consulting, finance, or fundraising.
