Instructors for Adult Programs

Adult Clay Studio Instructor

Seeking an experienced potter to teach an adult evening class, once per week. Mixed level, small class in an active clay studio located in Waterbury Center.

Candidate must:
Have at least 5+ years working with clay.
Be proficient in throwing and hand building.
Understand clay as a body, and thresholds, for successful manipulation.
Have basic understanding of glaze applications and uses.
Understand all general personal safety practices while using clay and glaze.

Compensation range: $30-40/hour

Woodworking Instructors

Seeking experienced woodworkers to teach workshops and/or classes for adults. Teach a specific skill, a DIY home improvement / repair, or a project-based class or workshop. Instructors needed for all levels of workworking. Opportunities for a number of programs that vary in length/hours/schedule. Compensation range: $30-$40/hour

Shop Stewards for Wood Shop

​Experienced woodworkers are also needed for the role of shop steward to oversee members using the woodshop. This is a volunteer position in which stewards receive open shop access in exchange for volunteer hours.
