Studios are ready!

Waterbury MakerSphere, a volunteer organization dedicated to creating an incubator space for artists, creators and makers has signed a lease at 30 Foundry St. in downtown Waterbury! This will create individual studio spaces as well as a common room.  Several studios are spoken for but a couple are still available to rent.

"This is another step toward making Waterbury a regional hub for creativity and innovation," said President John Bauer. "Affordable, dedicated space is essential for the creation of art, starting a business, or even just for self-fulfilling personal work."

Part of the goal of MakerSphere is to build a community that can be supportive. Gathering artists and makers together allows for the exchange of ideas and talents.

Takin' to the Streets!

Thanks to the folks at Seminary Arts Center, everyone at the NQID parade will learn of our Satellite project!

It's been a challenge to find a 3,000sq ft building to host our dream of a Maker and Studio space so we are developing MakerSphere Satellites! Stay tuned for more.
